In keeping a promise I made to myself, I decided to become a journalist. I am always looking for the heart of something — and that pursuit took me to the streets. In a world of insanity, one man can only hope to leverage his experience into positive change. That's what I am doing.
I am pursuing an Associate of Arts in Journalism at Santa Monica College, where I have developed my reporting, photography, and storytelling skills across print and digital media.
My work has been published in The Corsair, Santa Monica College's student newspaper, covering arts, culture, and opinion. I am currently focused on long-form investigative work documenting life in Skid Row and the broader homelessness crisis in Los Angeles.
The best kind of journalism delivers the raw and unvarnished truth — and that's what I intend to deliver.
